Traditional Embroiderer

Tracy A. Franklin trained and worked at the Royal School of Needlework before starting her freelance career as a Specialist Embroiderer using hand stitch techniques traditionally and with contemporary style. These include gold work, silk shading, and white work.

She designs and works to commission, sells and exhibits her own work, and is the author of two books, on traditional contemporary embroidery published by BT Batsford Ltd.

Tracy's teaching includes classes, courses and workshops taught to groups and individuals of various levels. Courses include Royal School of Needlework Certificate Course, and City & Guilds Design and Embroidery (up to diploma level) with Julia Triston ­ through our independent City & Guilds centre.
